GLORAKU Marks Its First Anniversary

GLORAKU marked its first anniversary in Spring 2026.

GLORAKU was founded as its CEO stepped away from a more familiar corporate path to begin a new chapter—building the company, contributing to Japanese companies as an independent outside board director, and reconnecting with her long-held passion for writing.

The entrepreneurial road is rarely straight. It comes with uncertainty, unpredictability, and constant learning by doing. At the same time, this first year brought new encounters, perspectives, and experiences that would not have emerged along a more familiar path.

Throughout its first year, GLORAKU has worked across a diverse range of areas, including global leadership development, corporate governance, strategic communication and writing, MBTI®- and DiSC®-based leadership programs, disaster preparedness and multicultural inclusion, mindfulness programs, Japan market entry support, and advisory work on cross-cultural and organizational integration.

What has made this first year especially meaningful, however, is not simply the range of activities, but the people behind them—clients, business partners, longtime friends, new connections, mentors, and many others who generously shared their knowledge, experience, encouragement, and candid advice.

When GLORAKU was founded, the aim was to create work that connects people and organizations across cultures with both professionalism and humanity.

One year later, that conviction has only grown stronger. Cultural understanding is not a “soft” topic. It is increasingly essential to leadership, governance, business growth, organizational effectiveness, wellbeing, and our ability to work together in an increasingly complex world.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported GLORAKU, placed their trust in us, challenged our thinking, and opened doors to meaningful collaboration during this first year.

As GLORAKU enters its second year, we will continue this journey with authenticity, expertise, and curiosity—helping people and organizations bridge cultural differences and work together more effectively.

We will also expand our mindfulness programs for individuals and organizations, while collaborating with specialist partners to support companies navigating talent, organizational, and cross-cultural challenges as they enter and grow in Japan—and as Japanese organizations expand and collaborate internationally.
